🌕 Update on Friday Night Dances 🌕
With the recent closure of Gainesville Movement Studio, I am no longer hosting Friday night Ecstatic Dance events at this time. While I may return to hosting occasional pop-ups in the future, there are still so many beautiful opportunities to dance in our community.

What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a free-form, sober movement experience that welcomes every body. There are no steps to follow, no choreography to master—just space to move, breathe, release, and reconnect.
This is your time to dance however your body wants. Come solo, bring a friend, or simply show up as you are. We gather in a space of non-judgment, consent, and community.
Sacred Agreements for the Dance Floor
To honor the container we’re creating together, we invite you to step into this space with presence, openness, and care. Ecstatic Dance is more than just movement—it’s a ritual, a journey, and a collective prayer expressed through the body.

In service to that, we ask:

No Talking on the Dance Floor
Once the music begins, we invite stillness of the voice. Let your body do the speaking. Singing, sighing, laughing, and expressive sounds are always welcome—just no verbal conversation during the dance.

Unplug to Drop In
Please no phones, photos, or videos on the dance floor. Give yourself—and others—the gift of full presence.

Practice Non-Judgment
We honor all forms of expression. There’s no “right” way to move—just your way. Let go of comparison and return to your breath.

Stay Sober
This is a clean, clear space. We dance with our natural energy and the aliveness of being in community.

Honor Boundaries
Connection is beautiful—but consent is sacred. If you'd like to dance with someone, please seek clear, non-verbal consent. A gentle bow or a hand to the heart is a respectful way to say, "No, thank you."

Embrace the Journey
Try to stay for the full 90-minute arc. Movement is medicine. Some moments may be ecstatic, others tender. Let it all move through you. Move how you feel. Rest when you need. Laugh, cry, shake, sprawl, swirl—this is your practice. This is your prayer.
